Truco conveyor belting sought after in Africa Truco (Transvaal Rubber Company) has recently supplied two conveyor belt orders valued at more than half a million Rand to West and East Africa respectively. Moulded-edge conveyor belting was supplied to Tanzanian Gold Mining & Buying Company, Meremeta Limited, within 6 weeks of the order being placed with Truco. The advantages of conveyor belting with moulded edges are that they prevent fretting of the edge of the belt carcass, while also preventing the penetration of acids and oil into the carcass, which would cause delamination of plies. This feature, which is inherent to Truco conveyor belting, also stops mechanical damage on the side of the conveyor belt. Installation of the conveyor belt at Meremeta was carried out by a South African company managing the project.
