Tigrostick SC010

An all-purpose bonding and rubber adhesive, used across the world. It provides a 2-part bonding process for rubber to metal, rubber to rubber, rubber to fabric and fabric to fabric applications.

Trucobond

A 2-part bonding and rubber adhesive suited for rubber to metal, textile to metal, rubber to rubber, textile and rubber to textile applications.

Also suitable for primed metal, primed concrete and cold splicing textile-reinforced rubber conveyor belts.

Cyanoacrylate Super Glue

A single component bonding and rubber adhesive which has been specifically formulated for difficult-to-bond substrates such as natural and synthetic rubbers, plastics and other materials.

  • Low viscosity and fast curing
  • Solvent-free system - does not require catalyst, heat or clamps
  • Available in a 20g bottle

Trucoprime

A primer used for bonding a wide variety of vulcanised and unvulcanised rubber compounds to metals and other rigid substrates. It may be used as a primer under Ecorr lok adhesive.

  • Single-coat rubber adhesive for bonding nitrile rubber
  • Provides rubber tearing bonds, in conjunction with Ecorr lok overcoat adhesives, an environmental resistance

Truco Solvent

It is used as a solvent or dilutent for lacquers, lacquer thinners, enamels, liquid printing inks, degreasers and general purpose primers.

  • Consists of minimum 70% aromatics (essentially toluene and xylene)
  • Balance of product is aliphatics (essentially octane and nonane)

Important factors to consider

The following factors should be taken into account when ordering rubber adhesives and bonding agents for your application:

  • Viscosity: A measurement of a fluid's resistance to flow, the viscosity will determine the amount of bonding agent or rubber adhesive dispensed on a substrate.
  • Full cure or set time: The 'drying' time of a bonding agent or rubber adhesive depends on the curing temperature and varies greatly among thermosetting systems.
  • Ultimate tensile strength (UTS): The amount of applied stress required to cause failure in a control specimen, with bonding agents and rubber adhesive, under tensile load conditions.
  • Elongation: The amount of permanent deformation after a controlled tensile test.
  • Shear strength: The shear maximum shear load per unit cross-section that a bonding agent or rubber adhesive joint can withstand before mechanical failure or breakage occurs.
  • Maximum use temperature: The temperature range to which a bonding agent or rubber adhesive can be exposed without degradation of structural or other required end-use properties.
