Truco launches new petroleum industry products

South African rubber specialist Truco (Transvaal Rubber Company) launched several new sheeting products in 2006. The diaphragm sheeting is made from nitrile rubber that can be used as gasketing material in the petroleum industry. Incorporating a nylon crenet layer to prevent shifting or squeezing under pressure of the nitrile rubber, this material is already in high demand. A heavy-duty nylon fabric insert ensures excellent burst pressure strength. The material is ideal for oils, water and many organic fluids.

Truco has also recently introduced a commercial grade red neoprene rubber for handling oil-based products, a natural beige gum rubber with excellent abrasion resistance and a white natural food grade quality sheeting. Probably the most impressive new product in this area is a 10 mm insertion rubber that is not laminated together. Offering superior strength, this product is ideal for flanges where thicker layers of durable rubber is required. Also in stock is a new 20 mm thick red neoprene for conveyor skirting in areas with temperatures above 100° C, in addition to the recently introduced abrasion-resistant grey conveyor skirting.
