Truco secures major chunk of regional rubber contracts

Transvaal Rubber Company (Truco) has secured a large majority of the contract based orders for small and large bore industrial hose available in the southern African market, involving clients ranging from De Beers to BHP Billiton, Samancor, Manganese Metal, Sasol Nitro Plant, Impala Platinum and Palaborwa Mining Company.

Totalling around R10m annually, the supply contracts come after intensified efforts by the rubber specialist to form close relationships with leading players in the mining and project management fields. "We have been closely assisting large mines in areas ranging from cost cutting solutions to overall plant design, with the ability to back up our consulting services with innovative new product designs where needed," states Director, Herbie Crookes. "Consistently high product quality, reliability of supply, short delivery times and favourable pricing were all areas that we focused on to achieve this leading position in the market, along with factors like appropriate BEE compliance."
