Truco showcases over 125 years in rubber manufacturing at Expo Centre Truco (Transvaal Rubber Company) reaffirmed its status as a leading manufacturer of a comprehensive range of rubber products to the African industrial, agricultural and mining sectors at this year's Electra Mining Africa. The Expo was held from the 10th to the 14th of September 2018, at the Expo Centre at Nasrec in Johannesburg, and served as the perfect platform for Truco to showcase its 125 year reputation of quality and trustworthiness in the rubber industry. Five generations and over 125 years later, Truco has developed into Africa's largest suppliers of rubber hoses, conveyor belts, sheeting, fenders and fittings, covering Africa with three local subsidiaries and a branch in Accra, Ghana. Truco prides itself on its attention to innovation, and despite having over 7 500 m² of manufacturing space; and over 360 employees, has maintained its values as a family business. At every Electra Mining Africa Expo, Truco unveils new products for its loyal consumer base. This year was no different, with new products like Pinch Valve Sleeves, Steam Hose, new Splicing Technology and Truco's new Oil and Gas products taking centre stage. "These new products not only broaden Truco's offering to its customers but allow customers to view Truco as a one-stop-shop for all their fluid and material transfer needs", says John Tait, Truco's Managing Director. New and existing customers were given the opportunity to ask questions on aspects of the business from rubber lining to fluid transfer production constraints. These were all answered on the stand or will be followed up in the weeks after the show with site visits. The stand, well-positioned in Hall 6, attracted new and old customers with its innovative, interactive display that allowed visitors to touch and feel the superior quality of Truco's rubber products. Truco's range is extensive and customers don't always realise that Truco can offer a wide range of products that increase efficiencies or reduce operational costs across industries. The Electra Mining Africa stand provided an ideal opportunity to showcase Truco's stock offering.
