Truco to execute live product demonstrations via its exhibition trailer at electra mining africa 2022

Truco, one of Africa’s largest suppliers of conveyor belt solutions for the mining industry, will utilise its exhibition trailer to demonstrate its conveyor belting solutions at Electra Mining Africa 2022.

The exhibition trailer comprises a powered and fully-functioning conveyor belt from Truco’s range, and facilitates the showcasing of various products and solutions. Many of these enable the end user to monitor and/or repair conveyor belts without reliance on a third party, saving time, minimising downtime and reducing costs.

The Exhibition Trailer will showcase the following solutions:

Belt scales & related hardware. Truco assembles, installs and commissions belt scales, as well as calibrating them. The company also offers remote monitoring via the Telegram App, which notifies the user of belt balances. It also provides real-time alerts for belt overloading, under production target levels, or a belt running empty.
Flexsol, the liquid urethane elastomer that is easily applied without tooling, and cures in less than an hour, enabling maximum productivity. Live demonstrations of its application will illustrate its high adhesion and flexibility, which delivers a lasting repair. “An end user will quickly see that the belt can be repaired without needing to fit an insert, which can mean up to one complete shift of lost production. The cost v.s. benefit makes this solution a no-brainer,” states Donovan Scott, Divisional Manager, Truco.
The TruGuide tracking unit. Truco’s belt tracker prevents mistracking by ensuring that the belt stays in the centre of the structure. Mistracking belts can sustain serious damage by the structure (and in some cases, the belt damages the structure), and this can drive up maintenance costs considerably. A misaligned belt can also cause spillage issues and material build up on rollers, which further amplifies the belt tracking problem.
TruSplice, Truco’s bespoke conveyor belt repair solution that’s faster than hot and cold splicing, and delivers a durable replacement of the damaged section of a belt.
Robust HDPE rollers , which handle heavy loads, and deliver improved accuracy and longevity. This is achieved through the breakaway mass and alignment or Total Indicated Runout (TIR) of Truco’s rollers. Since these rollers run true, they experience fewer tracking issues and reduced heat build-up in the bearings.
