Test Work Capabilities ESL Multotec’s test work capabilities have developed over the years, borne from intensive R&D to develop new or expand existing industry products. Our capabilities include test and development work on spiral concentrators, classification cyclones, magnetic separators, samplers and laboratory-scale filtration and centrifuge equipment. Additionally, Multotec now produces equipment prototypes using 3D printing (read more below). Commodities that are supported by these advanced test work capabilities include Chrome, Coal, Copper, Gold, Iron Ore, Mineral Sands, Platinum, Lithium, Chemical Salts etc. Role of technology in test work Multotec’s approach to technology, with regards to test work, consists of: Innovation: begins with ideas and develops into a spiral of research, design, manufacturing, pilot testing, prototyping, installation and modification, which is repeated until commercialisation takes place. Verification: the application of the new equipment is tested to ensure value is added, which ranges from product improvement testing, comparing old and new, and then paid testing for customers from exploration to process optimisation studies.
